12-year-old Irish girl dies after falling from seventh floor of hotel in Mallorca
A tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Monday (22nd July) when a 12-year-old girl from Ireland died after falling from the seventh floor of a hotel in Alcúdia, Mallorca.
According to sources close to the case, the accident happened around 6:45am on Avenida Tucà in Alcúdia. Emergency services were immediately alerted, prompting the mobilisation of Guardia Civil, Alcúdia Local Police, and SAMU medical personnel by the 112 Emergency Services.
Upon arriving at the scene, paramedics couldn’t do anything for her and were only able to confirm the death of the young girl from injuries sustained in the fall.
The Emergency Services also dispatched a psychologist to provide support to the girl's parents, who are grappling with the sudden and devastating loss of their daughter.
The circumstances leading to the fall remain unclear at this time and the Guardia Civil have opened a full investigation into the incident. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
