Approval for the construction of a new hotel in one of Benidorm's tallest towers
The City Council of Benidorm (Alicante) has given the green light to the Gran Delfin project, heralding the construction of a towering building on the frontline of Poniente Beach, featuring a hotel and a hundred luxury residential units.
This 44-story structure will rise on the site formerly occupied by the iconic Gran Hotel Delfín, a city landmark since its inauguration in 1963.
Soaring to a height of 158 metres, the tower will claim the title of the third tallest building in the coastal city, matching the Torre Lúgano and trailing only behind the Intempo (202m) and the Gran Hotel Bali (186m).
Hotel and Residential Complex
A segment of the Gran Delfin will be dedicated to a luxurious hotel complex, offering amenities such as a sauna, spa, lobby, gym, yoga and Pilates area, co-working spaces, gardens, tennis courts, a social club, restaurant, and pools.
The residential area will comprise one hundred homes, whose owners will have the privilege of enjoying the hotel's services. Additionally, they will have access to a separate entrance hall, a private pool, sky gardens, and exclusive zones.
The developer notes that these residences will hold tourist usage licenses, allowing owners the flexibility to decide whether to operate them.
The project will be complemented by an auditorium and a thousand-square-metre beach club with direct access to the shoreline, adding a touch of luxury and sophistication to the vibrant city of Benidorm.
The Gran Delfin project promises to redefine the skyline and contribute to the city's appeal as a premier destination for tourists and residents alike.
