Nativity Scene Theft: Kidnapped baby Jesus held for 2,000 euros ransom on TikTok
A shocking incident has unfolded in Sant Vicent del Raspeig in Alicante on the Costa Blanca, as two people brazenly stole the baby Jesus figurine from a local nativity scene and later posted a video on TikTok demanding a 2,000 euro ransom from the Local Police for the safe return of the religious figure.
The video, shared by an account named 'Secuestradores de San Vicente' (Kidnappers of San Vicente), features two masked individuals seated on a bed with the kidnapped baby Jesus surrounded by 10 and 20 euro bills. One of them has a pixelated face to further avoid identification.
In the video, the culprits wearing black ski masks and hooded jackets, accuse the Local Police of neglecting the proper care of the baby Jesus, justifying their ransom demand. They warn that harm will be inflicted upon the nativity scene character if the money is not delivered, stating, "He will spend the night with us."
The footage concludes with the thieves clandestinely placing the stolen figurine in the trunk of a car, located between Calle Pintor Sorolla and Callo Lillo Juan.
The local council has expressed their dismay over the incident, assuring a prompt resolution. Municipal sources report that the police have initiated necessary procedures to investigate the matter.
